ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP OF THE NEONATAL SOCIETY
The Neonatal Society is keen to encourage new members and to maintain high academic standards.
Rules on Eligibility
The rules of the Society state that membership of the Society is open to all scientific workers who give evidence of being interested in the object of the Society and whose professional careers are in the major part devoted to neonatal science. Acceptable evidence of such interest includes:
- published work in scientific journals or as communications to learned societies concerning fetal or newborn infants or animals
- the presentation to the Society of a paper of acceptable standard.
The second requirement may be waived in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Committee.
A nomination form for membership can be downloaded from this web site. The completed form with the signatures of two members of the Society should be sent, with a brief CV, and completed Bankerís Order Form, to the General Secretary.
Please see our separate instructions on abstract submission. These include guidelines on what constitutes an acceptable presentation to the Society. All correspondence relating to the abstract will be with the presenting author whose name is expected to appear first in the author list.
Subscriptions shall be paid to the Treasurer on 1st January following election and subsequently on each 1st January. The current cost of membership of the Society is £60 per year.
